Trip to Egypt in 2023?

There’s a 5,000 cash limit of Egyptian pounds that you are allowed to bring in or take out of Egypt. There is no limit to the amount of foreign currency that you may bring in, but you must declare all amounts exceeding US$10,000 (or equivalent) on arrival. Yes! Because of the devaluation in the Egyptian pound in recent years, the currency gap has widened making it a very affordable travel destination. Is Egypt the richest country in Africa? Click the link to check the full list. But there is so much more to visiting Egypt than just the pyramids, the likes of Luxor’s Karnak Temple and the Valley of the Kings, Abu Simbel, Siwa oasis, the White Desert, Aswan, and the Egyptian museum amongst others. More details to follow in an upcoming blog post. Another important Egypt tip: Pick up a local SIM card for your mobile as soon as you arrive. This helps with staying in touch with locals in the country and friends internationally, browsing the web, updating your Instagram, checking directions or for making calls to your hotel or guide.

What is happening behind the scenes is that they will often subcontract the work to local operators. These are often the larger group tours vs private ones. That said, these companies are leaps and bounds better when it comes to organization and communication. Tour platforms - You can look at Viator and GetYourGuide for individual tours or packages. The challenge with these is that the platforms are designed to obfuscate who the actual operator is so you really are relying on the reviews to determine whether it'll be a good experience or not. Find a legitimate local operator online - In Egypt this is harder than it sounds because most businesses are behind when it comes to the digital age but for those that are, you'll appreciate that they can put together a package for you that is operated by their own people from start to end. Roll the dice once you land - If you don't have any plans, there will be no shortage of people gunning after your business and that includes the hotels you're staying at.

The slang in the title only partially describes our day in Luxor. We have arranged a fully escorted day, a car and driver and a guide. Not a taxi driver type tour, one from a legit tour office (or so I think, it was a recommendation from a friend of a friend). It was extremely affordable, less than USD100 for the day with a driver and guide in a large van. I know it would have been cheaper to find something on the street, but at least this I knew I was getting what I paid for. We would visit the West Bank of Luxor, often referred to as the Valley of the Kings, but it is so much more than that! The Tombs of the pharaohs are just one part of the larger mortuary temples, and also Tombs of Nobles and even workers who spent their lives working on the elaborate structures to see the pharaohs into the afterlife!

This is good practice as the problem with customs is that it’s sometimes open to interpretation and depends on how the officers feel on the day. I hope this helps Have a wonderful trip! LE and what volume of notes should I get to handle all the tipping. If at airport, is this best done before the border/customs or after? Hi David, before arriving, I ordered some USD so I would have enough to pay for my visa on arrival and have some money for incidentals. I had heard that they accept both USD and Egyptian Pounds at the airport. The tour company I travelled with had a guide on the ground who helped me through this process and I knew I need 100USD to pay for the visa. The rest of the time I used Egyptian Pounds. There is no tipping culture like the USA, so you can tip if you like but it’s not always necessary.

How much does Mobile App Development Cost in Singapore?

Equally, informative apps that require real-time information updating, data extraction, and their own database will, however, cost from$14,000 to $28,000. It is wise also to note that the development cost of an app may reach upwards of $41,000 if the startup looks to incorporate complex designs, integration, and synchronization with web services or other apps. Any startup looking to develop a game app should recognize that these apps are the most expensive of all mobile applications. While game apps remain fun, they usually have to deploy complex systems that can incorporate social media integration, 3D graphics, originally us and other complex effects to give the final application. Certainly, a scenario would entail hiring special mobile app development talents in the likes of game designers, programmers, concept artists, and animators. In the end, this is perhaps where most of the game application costs lie. In Singapore estimation, the cost of developing a game app for mobile is at $80,000 for a game featuring the minimum animations and designs.

An experienced or skilled developer would take time to plan the structure and underlying framework of the mobile app he develops, reuse as much common code as possible so that the app can be modified more easily in future. An inexperienced or unskilled developer often result to poor programming practices and conventions, such as copying and pasting codes across the whole project, badly constructed methods and poorly chosen variable names. It is inevitable that you will want more features or further modifications to your mobile app in future. A high amount of technical debt makes it very expensive to add features and make changes in future. Optimization - We all know that some apps function very sluggishly, while some are simply a breeze to use. An app that is fast, smooth and a breeze to use requires careful code optimization done by the developers. This doesn’t happen by chance. Inexperienced or unskilled developers often product apps that are laggy or sluggish.

How do you estimate costs then? At this point you may be wondering how we actually make estimates for mobile app costs. And we try to allocate an estimated number of man days for each feature. Some features are easy and we have made them many times (e.g. login), so these tend to be quicker and we can be more precise on the number of man days that we need. Some features may be new to us. We may need to do some research and read up on new API documentation. We will budget more time for these. Is there any rule of thumb? As you can see, we have simply broken down Total estimated mandays into a calculation based on the number of screens. Note that we assume only one feature per screen here (no cheating! E.g. A login screen should have only login and no other features). So the estimate assumes that it takes on average 3 mandays per feature.

Mobile apps are one of the most intimate way to reach out to your consumers and users as these apps resides directly on your consumers’ mobile phones. Imagine this - Singapore has mobile phone penetration rate of 148.9% way back in 2012. This meant that an average Singaporean owns more than a phone. Businesses know that they are missing out huge opportunities by not developing their own mobile apps. How do we know what are the things to look out for when doing mobile app development in Singapore? Organisations and businesses develop mobile apps in Singapore for a large variety of reasons. Some develop mobile apps as a channel to reach out to their customers. Others develop mobile apps to conduct transactions. Mobile apps can also be built for marketing purposes. Ultimately, mobile apps represents the brands behind them. Not all mobile apps are created equal. Some mobile apps are developed with solid engineering principles and with careful thoughts placed in the design and user experience, while others were poorly developed and provides a terrible user experience.
